Middle School Choir Teacher Stunned When Chorus Students Invade His Wedding Rehearsal Brunch

Feel like crying buckets right now? OKAY. If this story doesn’t make you sob a mountain of happy tears, well, then, we’re probably crying enough for you, so it’s okay. But seriously.

Let’s get right to it: A group of middle school chorus students from the Hingham Middle School Junior Choral Spectrum in Massachusetts wanted to give their teacher, Christopher Landis, the wedding gift of a lifetime.

It was at Landis’ wedding rehearsal brunch when they decided to surprise their favorite teacher, as well as his new husband Joe, with the sweetest gesture.

They showed up at the venue unexpectedly, sat down, and performed a beautiful special rendition of “All Your Need is Love,” by the Beatles, which they had spent every Sunday for an entire month practicing in secret together.

Form the moment the students walk out to the applause at the end, Landis is basically losing it. He looks so shocked and humbled and beside himself and man, we’re crying all over again! His new husband as well as all their friends and family in the room even gets emotional as well.

It’s so obvious how much pride and love Landis has for “his kids,” as he refers to them, and how much they adore him as well. We know you’re not supposed to play favorites when it comes to teachers, but they clearly had a favorite!

The performance was coordinated and organized by two of the children’s parents, and afterwards, they presented Landis with a wedding gift to show how much he’s appreciated.

We can’t get over how amazing the gesture and reaction are. We wish nothing but happiness for Landis and his new hubby!

Check out the sweet video below.

We probably watched this five times by now. How about you? How amazing was this surprise and Landis’ reaction? Did you ever have a teacher you’d want to do something like this for?
