This Company Will Be Offering Beer-Themed Flights Starting in Early 2019

There is no shortage of beer-centered activities if you are an enthusiast. You have beer yoga, beer 5K runs, beer races, and of course, beer festivals. So much to experience!

Now, beer lovers can add something else to the list: beer flights. Not to be confused with the term “beer flight” that is used to describe a brewery’s tasting menu, the beer flights we’re talking about are really airborne.

BrewDog, a Scotland-based brewery, has just announced plans to launch a beer-themed airline – for one trip. A lone Boeing 767 with the BrewDog logo will ferry guests across the pond. The craft beer company is offering one round trip flight from London to Columbus, Ohio, where its new brewery has opened.

Guests can book the trip now which will take place from February 21 to February 25, 2019. During the flight, BrewDog promises such amenities as:

“The highest ever beer tasting onboard with a brand new beer designed to taste better at altitude. . .”

“BrewDog-inspired dining on board, all paired with BrewDog beer and served by Cicerone-trained cabin staff. . .”

“BrewDog Beer and specially canned LoneWolf cocktails on the flight.”

Once passengers reach Columbus, they will be treated to a few days of activities, which includes a tour of the Columbus brewing facility (which houses an interactive museum), a pub and restaurant crawl throughout the city, and a stop in Cincinnati, Ohio, to tour the city’s local breweries.

The catch? This package is only available to “Equity Punks”, a group of crowd-funders who invested in the company. Out of the 240 open slots for the tour, a handful will be granted to the public through a contest.

Those who book will also be able to spend one night in BrewDog’s DogHouse Columbus, their branded boutique hotel which is an experience in itself.

The hotel overlooks the brewery and rooms feature beer fridges in the main area as well as the shower. Because, why not? That’s in addition to the beer tap in the room and the bartender in the lobby. They really want beer fans to have a full, engaging experience.

So, how much is all of this? Rates start at £1,250 per person or you can book the package at a higher rate for two people. If you’re interested in the BrewDog experience but for obvious reasons, can’t make this trip, then you may also want to check out one of their worldwide bar locations.

Only three are open here in the States – all in Ohio – but if you live in the UK, Barcelona, or another location, you just might be in luck. Check out the sites here.

Avid members of the beer community may already be familiar with this brand and their clever publicity campaigns. Who knows if this airline will expand its offerings to a broader clientele or list of destinations, but for now, Equity Punks have a nice hop-filled vacation they can look forward to.
