Bride and Groom Rock the Party with First Dance

At weddings, people have come to expect that the couple’s first dance will be sentimental and sappy. You can also count on it to be traditional and slow. There are times when it seems like guests are barely paying attention for the entire waltz.

Not the case here. At the beginning of this video shared by videographer AV Artisan, this bride and her groom are caught up in a sweet embrace on the dance floor. Swaying to soft music, Kathryn and Kevin are enjoying the bliss of their big day.

Ma ma se Ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa! Ma ma se Ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa! Do you know what that means? It means these two planned on startin’ somethin’! Surprise! In a quick pivot, the music changes and we see these two have a natural talent for grooving. While the tune “Happy” plays, the choreography includes spins and a split. And that was just the first song. They certainly have their guests’ full attention now.

Any time “Uptown Funk” drops, be prepared for some dance floor swag. Kathryn and Kevin sure deliver with this one. Energetic and smiley, they are in perfect harmony as they snap, gyrate, and step. Bruno Mars himself would be proud of this duo’s hot steps, glides, and slides. Don’t believe me? Just watch!

This is one of those songs that make you start bopping your head or tapping your foot. See how the bridal party can’t stay in their seats? If you try to keep up with them as you watch the video, you might need to catch your breath!

As the music segues into Chris Brown’s “Don’t Wake Me Up”, Kevin and Kathryn start to slow it down just a little bit. Their dance takes a romantic turn, complete with cutesy chin cupping and smooches. They are adorable! After a few dips, you might think things are about to end, but not so. The beat booms into an electro-pop rhythm and these lovebirds sync up right on point with the song.

With all that fancy footwork and twirling, it’s a good thing Kathryn’s wearing flats. Once the impressive routine comes to a finish, you’ll see that these newlyweds can’t keep their hands (or lips) off of each other. Sweet! After seeing this, you can’t help but wonder if they’re professionals. Light on their feet and heavy on the affection, Kevin and Kathryn make an incredible team.

As wedding first dances go, this one definitely gave guests something to talk about. How is it possible to crush it like this at a wedding? This bride and groom turned up and turned a typical reception into a par-tay. Lifetime partners in marriage and dance, it is clear Kevin and Kathryn have a long, love-paved road ahead of them.
