This is the Easiest Way to Apply False Eyelashes

Among the many complicated beauty rituals that we’re always striving to perfect is the application of false eyelashes, or falsies. This line of lashes can make your eyes look larger, more defined, and make your natural lashes look fuller. They’re heaven-sent for those of us who wish they had a little more in lash department.

But applying this amazing beauty invention is a whole different story. Having them on is all well and good, but GETTING there is one of the more beauty challenges many of us face.

If you’ve ever tried it before, you know it involves a very steady hand and a lot of very sticky glue. If you haven’t tried it before…you can imagine from that description that it’s not a walk in the park.

Well, beginners, don’t panic. Everyone has to start somewhere on their falsies journey, even the professionals! Beauty blogger Danielle Mansutti — who is such a pro that little things like false lashes don’t even phase her anymore — once struggled to crack the lash lock herself.

Now, after years of awkward applications, she has discovered the easiest way for novices to apply falsies. Thankfully, she was willing to share them with us in her beauty tutorial below!

No matter your experience level, you can take something away from this helpful video. Beginners, of course, can learn the easiest way to apply their first falsies. But more experienced beauty buffs will definitely appreciate this incredibly easy technique.

First, it’s important to figure out what type of false lashes you want. Yes, there’s more than one type of false lashes.

There are natural lashes, then there’s a more dramatic style, and finally there are effect lashes, which modify the shape of your eye. These effect lashes are perfect for rounding your eye or creating a cat-eye look.

Once you’ve selected the type of lashes you want, make sure to collect your other two materials: tweezers and eyelash glue. Have a scissor on hand, too, just in case you need to cut the lashes to size.

Pro Tip: If you do need to cut the lashes to size, always cut from the OUTER corner. Never cut from the inner corner.
