We’re all familiar with Coca-Cola cake, but did you know that’s not the only soda making its way into delicious desserts? We didn’t either, until we stumbled upon this lemon-lime treat from Divas Can Cook. She says it’s an old-fashioned recipe, but this cake is not our grandma’s pound cake— it’s something new and exciting, but still traditional! Check it out!

You’ll Need:

Cake
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening
– 3 cups granulated sugar
– 5 large eggs, room temperature
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon lemon extract
– Zest of 1 lemon
– Zest of 1 lime
– 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
– 1 cup 7-Up soda
Glaze
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 2 tablespoons 7-Up
