5 DIY Beauty Recipes to Rejuvenate Winter Skin and Hair

Winter can be rough on our moods (especially when the snow just won’t stop falling!) but it can also be tough on our skin and hair. If your body needs a little TLC, save some money and try out some of these DIY beauty recipes:

Homemade Lip Scrub

The biting cold in winter can do a number on your lips. Give your chapped lips a treat with a little lip scrub. You’ll need agave nectar (or honey), coconut oil and brown sugar.

Peppermint Foot Scrub

To take care of dry feet, add your favorite olive oil or coconut oil to a cup of granulated sugar. Then add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to the mixture and you’re good to go.

Ultimate Avocado Face Mask

This face mask will simultaneously moisturize your skin, fight wrinkles, combat acne, and exfoliate. Just grab a ripe avocado, a banana, some olive oil and a little orange or lemon juice to get started.

Homemade Leave-In Hair Conditioner

All you need to make this is water, aloe vera and your favorite essential oil. The leave-in conditioner will moisturize as well as tame and defrizz your hair.

Vinegar Foot Soak

For tired feet, mix together 1 cup sea salt, 1 cup Epsom salt, 1 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup dried lavender. Pour this mixture in a tub with enough bearable hot water to submerge your feet into. Then relax and let your feet soak for about 20 minutes.
