32 Money-Saving Grocery Shopping Tips

There are a lot of grocery shopping tips out there, and Billy.com wanted to add his two cents to the topic. He has compiled a great list of 32 ways to save money on your groceries. Here are some highlights from his list:

  1. Only shop at stores that double coupons. Head here for a comprehensive list of which stores allow doubling of coupons.
  2. Don’t buy produce in bulk. You’ll most likely have to throw some away because of spoilage.
  3. Don’t buy something just because it’s on sale. Stick to your list and don’t just pounce on any deal.
  4. Look low. Most cheaper brands are shelved below eye level, so be sure to look lower when you’re shopping.
  5. Plan your next week’s menu based on sales.
  6. Scan your pantry before you leave the house. Knowing exactly what you have will prevent those “just in case” buys.
  7. Review your final bill to check for pricing errors.
